Student Events
The students of the European Law School organise numerous events themselves during the semester and can count on the support of the study management, be it in arranging guests or in organisational tasks. So feel free to get in touch with us!
Perhaps the most successful format is the Brown Bag Lunches. In addition, the ELS Alumni & Students e.V. organises theatre visits, excursions and bar evenings.
Brown Bag Lunches
The Brown Bag Lunches are a series of events initiated by the ELS Students & Alumni e.V. in cooperation with the Director of Studies of the European Law School and the partner law firm Linklaters. Once a month, professionals from various fields of work are invited to a Jour-Fixe at the Faculty of Law. In an informal atmosphere, the guests talk about their career so far, their international experiences and the challenges of their professional work.
In 2016, for example, Dr Thorsten Ehrbeck, judge at the Social Court of Berlin, Ms Edna Schöne, board member at Euler Hermes and Ms Eva Fettweis, public prosecutor for juvenile criminal law, were available for an exchange in this setting.
